Rage Against The Machine
Almost 25 years and counting, Rage Against the Machine still controls the playlists of many audio listeners. The hip-hop influenced Los Angeles rock band has been cited as one of the greatest groups over the last three decades with a short-lived career in the mainstream for only 8 years. Highlighted by the critically-acclaimed Evil Empire project from 1996 and The Battle of Los Angeles three years later, the group has three flawless LPs in their career if we count their debut album as well.
While their last studio album, Renegades, wasn’t popular among the die-hards (due to Zack de la Rocha leaving the group to pursue a solo career), it still has a few gems we would love to play ourselves (see: Pistol Grip Pump, Renegades of Funk, How I Could Just Kill a Man).
