Update Controls for “Skate” similarity

One of the biggest reasons the Skate franchise surprised Activision in 2007 during its initial entry was not only is realistic presentation, but more so it’s more impressionable controls. The Tony Hawk series had been able to get away with releasing the same game every year, with updated maps, skaters and a few new features (see: NBA 2K), but their bluff was finally called from Electronic Arts – leaving Activision frantically trying to figure out what’s next.

For starters, we need to have an implement of non-linear controls, to give users the ability of having freedom in putting together their own finishes whether it landing kickflip, ollie, nollie or air and grab tricks. This means a lot for realism to give the game some authenticity for not only fans of the series, but casual sports gamers who are looking to jump back into the series. With consoles still fresh and in a 16-month cycle and multiple games being delayed to 2016, Activision may have a shot at sneaking out a AAA-title if properly done right with more controls.
