5 Things You Must Know About the Xbox One X

Upgrade to a High-End Internet Speed

One of the most annoying features on the new Xbox One X console, is the insane download times you have to endure. For our initial week of gaming, we spent more time downloading XBX updates, than actual gaming. This was due to our current internet service provider only offering up to 100Mbs, causing us to actually leave and find a better provider with at least 200Mbs.

If you plan on actually taking fully advantage of the console, you’ll need a high-end speed of at least 1 gigabit per second. Although you could use a standard speed, beware that those downloads of 100GB may take some hours to process through if you’re willing to sit and wait.

Along with caps on certain plans with Verizon, AT&T, Xfinity, Time Warner and others, you’ll end up having to pay that extra usage fees by going over your monthly cap. It’s not a guarantee that you’ll be downloading multiple games all 12 months of the year. However, when it’s the fourth quarter, like right now, that extra data cap means everything.
