Here’s what to expect in the final build for Project Morpheus!
Last year at the Game Developers Conference, Sony finally revealed plans for a Virtual Reality Headset dubbed Project Morpheus. At the 2015 GDC a few days ago, Sony formally announced they would be launching Project Morpheus during the first half of 2016 to retail. Pricing hasn’t been revealed; but its 5 inch LCD OLED display, 120hz refresh rate, accurate tracking in movement, and super low latency are some of the key features that have been implemented for the final user-friendly design build. A new dimension of gaming is approaching within the next year, as you can get a brief break down of what to expect in the video above.
Have a hands-on look and experience with the VR Headset
We go hands-on with Sony’s new Project Morpheus prototype being shown at GDC 2015. As you’ll see, the demos we played this time feel more like PlayStation 4 games, and playing a shooter with VR is a great experience. We also chat with Sony’s Director of Research and Development about the headset and their goals for a consumer release next year.
