For everyone who got a Playstation 4, you know your main concern wasn’t the bells and whistles. You wanted better hardware. You wanted better a graphics engine. Having your console be the main control center for everything entertainment didn’t matter.
Here we are 7 months later with a limited release of games and only Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Instant and Crackle to hold us down like if they weren’t already on our Smart TV’s, Chromecast or other devices. YuppTV, NBA Gametime, Music Unlimited and IGN are pretty much rounding out the rest of our choices. It’s literally like picking between the shittiest fast food, because you’re hungry and nothing else is open.
Luckily, developers have been working hard to bring us some better options, especially since XBOX ONE just announced a plethora of apps for their next generation experience. We’ll be dammed if Sony ends up with the short end of the stick on this one. Even as much as we used to say it didn’t matter.
We’ve been thinking long and hard for weeks about what would make sense for PS4 and came up with a list of our own apps they could add to better enhance our gaming experience. Some of these might be actual game changers and weren’t included in the list that Microsoft released a few days ago. And no, we didn’t bother with the pointless Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram or Vine picks either.
You can keep that, XBOX One.
