Earlier this morning, a UK retailer “accidentally” leaked a rumored Batman title, revealing the legendary masked superhero would be invading Xbox One and PlayStation 4 consoles. If you remember, last fall Warner Bros. released Batman: Arkham Origins for previous generation platforms; with no sign or information for an imminent next-generation version.
That has now been cleared today with the official unveiling of Batman: Arkham Knight. Developer Rocksteady Studios finally details the conclusion to the Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City with a finale. The new “Father To Son” trailer showcases the obvious graphical improvements; but we’re also previewed intense action the game offers with footage of Scarecrow, Two-Face, Harley Quinn and the beloved Penguin in Gotham City.
We’re assuming the game has upgraded to the Unreal Engine 4 (teased last year), but we’re most excited about driving the newly designed Batmobile. Check after the jump for the trailer, then look for Batman coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime this year.
