If the Watch_Dogs delay wasn’t enough for you (exclusive Sony content) this week, another PlayStation 4 exclusive has been delayed, being their upcoming next-generation title #DRIVECLUB. If you remember the Holiday Gaming Buyers Guide from two weeks ago, I didn’t include #DRIVECLUB; which we find out today SCE Worldwide Studios developer Evolution Studios have decided to delay the title until “early” 2014.
This is now a huge blow to already limited PlayStation 4 launch lineup set four weeks from now, as SONY will be heavily relying on Killzone: Shadow Fall to be their Killer-App this holiday season. Speaking of which, On December 28-29th, there will be an open weekend trial of Killazon: SF multiplayer as compensation for the lack of exclusive titles released this year. In 2014 however, you can look for the PlayStation 4 library to consist of Q1 releases in the likes of inFAMOUS Second Son, The Order 1886, Destiny, Watch_Dogs; and now #DRIVECLUB.
For your racing fix this season, there’s still Gran Turismo 6 releasing for PlayStation 3; so that should hold you over until we get our next-gen fix with #DRIVECLUB next year.
