Have an Xbox One and EA Access? Enjoy the Madden NFL 15 Demo.

Normally, the Madden would’ve arrived today, but Electronic Arts Sports has no implemented a new subscription-based service we detailed a few weeks ago with EA Access. Even with Gamescom underway, the only way you’ll be able to play Madden NFL 15 before its release is subscribing to EA Access for $4.99 a month (or $29.99 annually) on Xbox One.

We’re expecting EA Sports receive initial backlash since the PlayStation audience can’t receive the demo before its official release in two weeks. The title’s even expected to go live on Xbox One, nearly a week before its release. After spending a few brief moments with Access, we found out Battlefield 4, FIFA 14, Madden NFL 25, and Peggle 2 were all ready to download.

Our impression on the EA Access thus far is surprisingly position – with even our PC Origin accounts automatically linking up to our Xbox One accounts.

A rep from EA reached out to Polygon regarding the demo saying:

The difficult decision not to do a demo for Madden was strictly a result of the team’s commitment to deliver the highest-quality game possible. We chose to put 100 percent of our development resources toward the full game.”
