The Xbox One Slim console is coming!

This week, rumors are circulating heavy regarding the imminent unveiling of PlayStation’s 4K NEO console, and Microsoft couldn’t let the week pass them by without any hardware news. Although e3 is still two months away, the three major video game brands are already teasing hardware.

With Nintendo’s NX also being throughout the spring, reports have surfaced that Microsoft is readying a new Xbox One console. In the past, Phil Spencer (head of Xbox) had been against rolling out an upgraded system, in the middle of a console-cycle; but recently revealed that he wants hardware improvements – with complete backwards compatibility and a slimmer model.

At the moment, Microsoft is currently testing a variety of prototype Xbox devices, with developers trying their hardest to stay away from any trademark leaking. The consoles have also been tested with tools used to improve the performance of a PC gaming rig, leading some to speculate that DirectX 12 could be part of the performance enhancing system.

We’ll keep you updating if any more information surfaces from legit sources.
