An HD remake with online multiplayer please!
One of the greatest video games we’ve ever played, will always be the Nintendo 64 classic, GoldenEye 007. With the title nearing its 20th anniversary, the James Bond-based exclusive for The Big-N may be the sole reason why many gamers have transitioned to lengthy hours of playing first-person shooters online (see: Call of Duty and Halo). A few days ago, YouTube user, Jude Wilson, showed the world one of the coolest things a person could recreate using the Unreal Engine 4.
This isn’t the first time a historic gaming franchise has been given the UE4 treatment, as both Mario and Sonic have stepped outside of their traditional elements for a test run last summer.
However, this N64 HD remake is something we pray that comes into fruition down the line. Although no in-game action was shown like the other titles, this gives us a look at the updated environments of the classic map Facility – some of you should remember.
Take a look at the video above, which we’re hoping Microsoft decides to finally do something with the franchise they’ve been letting collect dust for the last decade.
