When you buy a PlayStation 4, the biggest X-Factor into deciding whether you want to invest $400 in a console, will be the games. On launch day, the system is filled with your usual 3rd party games like Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Call of Duty Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Madden NFL 25 and NBA 2K14 among others; but the sole reason we would recommend buying a PS4 is if you’re a first person shooter fan.
Killzone: Shadow Fall is the Killer-App this year in that department, ironically for a console that’s viewed upon as a RPG and Adventure console. Microsoft lacks that big first person exclusive shooter for the launch of their console; but Killzone will be a complete representation of what the next-generation will be about (on the most powerful console). The PlayStation 4 lacks the launch library in comparison to its competitor, but we’ll have so many exclusives in 2014, including MLB 14 The Show, #DriveClub, Infamous: Second Son and The Order: 1886, just to name a few.
