Should You Buy The PlayStation 4 Day One?
Generally when a new console launches, there’s more than one game exclusive to purchase being good (Killzone), but the lack of library seen only on PlayStation 4 has some of us wondering whether dropping $400 on the console this year is a wise investment. If you’re in desperate need for something new and tired of looking at the PlayStation 3 console like most of us are, we’d recommend you the PS4.
From exclusive features and content this year from NBA 2K14 to the best looking and playing first person shooter on the market this year being Killzone: Shadow Fall; and even Resogun; there’s still a lot to offer if you’re a casual gamer looking for 3rd party sports and action title upgrades from the predecessors. #DRIVECLUB and WATCH_DOGS (mutli-platform, but timed DLC exclusive content) have been delayed to spring of 2014, which has hindered some gamers from diving into the launch next Friday.
With the lack of new apps already available on PlayStation 3, gaming will be the only deciding factor into getting an upgrade. We’re not sure how the system’s stock in general retailers will be in comparison to playing the waiting game with PS3 remains to be seen; but if you want a guaranteed console before the AAA titles start to release in spring, then hit up your local stores to purchase one. Those of you who already own third party titles on PS3 like Madden NFL 25, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, and Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag among others; you can pick up Gran Turismo 6 on the current console and still be content with getting your gaming fix for the holiday season.
