Announcing the price + release date for PlayStation VR!
With the Games Developers Conference finally underway this week, Sony has opted to formally reveal pricing and release date news for their PlayStation Virtual Reality device. The visor headset peripheral is set to arrive this October, with a price of $399 USD. Before the end of the year, PS V.R. is set to have more than 50 games on PlayStation 4, as some gamers are enjoying the model than Gear VR and Oculus Rift – but have insisted that the titles are less crispy in comparison.
Those of you with PS4 and not planning to upgrade your PC machines, should make the purchase if you’re interested in virtual reality. With the exception of its launch line up, our only issue with the roll-out, is that you’ll have to purchase the PlayStation Move Camera bundle at an additional $50 bucks, which isn’t included in the box and is required to use VR.
The box includes the headset, HDMI and USB cables, a power supply, headphones, a processor unit and a headset connection cable. You’ll also get six family friendly mini-games at launch, through The Playroom in VR, which is free. Take a look at the announcement video from Sony below.
