Will Project Morpheus receive a better name & release date at e3?
Sony UK recently placed advertisements on its careers website, which immediately sparked rumors of a possible future gaming release. The company quickly ending any speculations, revealing Shuhei Yoshida will now serve as President of an all-new Project Morpheus game developing company based in North West England.
The imprint is set to run under Sony Computer Entertainment’s Worldwide Studios and is in the preliminary stages of starting new titles before the virtual reality headset hits retail next year. While Sony has remained quiet on the newly revealed division, we’ve learned that ex-EVO developers are involved to create exclusives for PlayStation 4.
“We are still in the early planning phase with this studio, and are currently focused on hiring the right team,” a spokesperson said. “We look forward to sharing more news and formal announcements in the near future.”
