Gamers encounter another delay for 2014 with Ubisoft dropping a megaton.
One of the biggest titles initially arriving to consoles and PC this holiday originally planned was Ubisoft’s upcoming next installment for the Tom Clancy’s series. Sad news broke this morning when The Division was officially delayed until 2015 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The cause of delay has been game’s Snowdrop engine not properly being ready for retail before the fiscal year, as one insider revealed “The game engine works well, it’s not done, but works well. The actual game development has barely started, however.”
The game was originally revealed at Ubisoft’s impressive E3 2013 conference last year, where we got a first in-game look at WATCH_DOGS and is set to be showcased again in a few weeks. Another interesting note is the PC version being built from the ground in comparison to the Microsoft and Sony platforms that will resemble the same performance. Look for more details for Tom Clancy’s The Division in the coming months.
