Much like the PlayStation 4, Day one Xbox Consoles will see a limited amount of accessories largely due in part to Microsoft not wanting non-first party accessories on the market in 2013. So if you want to get a new TurtleBeach, Mad Catz or our personal preference of the Tritton brand, you’ll have to wait to well into February of next year for expansions. In comparison to its predecessor Xbox 360, all Xbox One’s will include an heavily upgraded Kinect system we were expecting back in 2010 when it first released on direct voice command and control perfection.
A cheaper non-kinect console would’ve been in Microsoft’s best interest this holiday, but they’re emphasis this year is to push the Kinect integration for gaming and multi-media entertainment. The Xbox One controller and headset peripherals are matched the same as before at $49.99 and $24.99; but should have a move durable lasting effect this time around. We can’t count on two hands how many controllers and headsets (and even a Kinect, true story) we’ve ran through due to traveling or large gameplay sessions from throwing temper tantrums at opponents when things didn’t go right. Unless you’re playing with friends in person, we wouldn’t suggest you get an extra controller on common sense; but to those of you who have lots of people in and your house, the Xbox One supports up to 8 controllers at once (4 more than the PS4).
