The Muppets
On initial glance, you’re probably asking yourself “WTF is.” Well, watch the trailer and you’ll come to realize how hilarious The Muppets returning to TV really is. Although it’s a rated-PG affair, there’s some adult humor mixed in that will be able to go over the heads of the kiddies – something that even caught us off guard. Using SNL and The Office elements, the live-action mockumentary follows the lives of The Muppets, in a behind-scenes look at the creation of a late night show for Miss Piggie.
Following her public breakup with Kermit the Frog, things get interesting outside of the work place, as the romances (including sex), disappointments and relationships back home are all shown for the first time ever for the franchise. We have to commend ABC and The Muppets Studio for stepping outside of its “normal” box to create a legitimate TV show for fall pilots.
Look for The Muppets to premiere September 22nd at 8:00pm ET on ABC.
