Supergirl
With the success of Gotham, Arrow, The Flash and iZombie, DC Comics is looking to strike big this fall with the pending release of their new series, Supergirl. CBS has even decided to give the upcoming live-action show a Monday night shot, as a lead-in to its ratings giant Scorpion. In comparison to its DC Universe cohorts, the Superman spin-off will consist of half-hour episodes, which we’re sure will be something that instantly attracts the casual audience that watches the network.
Melissa Benoist assumes the role of Kara Zor-El, who’s a 24-year-old single lady in the Manhattan and is looking to enjoy the most of her youth years – while still having to use her powers after an unexpected disaster. Both Warner Bros. and CBS are looking to draw a major audience it was looking for last year with the mystery-drama series Stalker, and has every element to be successful. Fans online may have already watched the pilot, which surfaced last spring and has some intrigued to at least keep watching for future episodes.
Look for Supergirl to premiere October 26th at 8:30pm ET on CBS.
