Please, 2018 for Gambit!
Last February, 20th Century Fox revealed an unfortunate delay for the X-Men spin-off film, Gambit. The company went to cite producing being on hold, from various directing duties constantly being changed. While the nearly $800 million grossed Deadpool project received an official sequel date, fans of the beloved Marvel character were left in limbo. That was until a few days ago, when writer and producer Simon Kinberg shared some major news regarding its status.
As of right now, the plan is to start filming the project spring 2017, which he revealed during a live panel at the Saturn Awards – citing the production company has a great script ready. With Channing Tatum getting ready to make his debut as the card-throwing hero, we’re just hopeful the cinematic tale arrives mid-2018.
