We’re only a few months away from season 2!
If you remember a few months back, we got a first introduction to both Elektra and The Punisher for the sophomore season of Daredevil. With Marvel’s live-action series still gaining momentum from viewers on Netflix last fall and currently in the winter, Entertainment Weekly has been given the privilege to premiere the first ever clear photos of the new characters.
In Frank Castle’s image, he’s shown to have gotten the better of Daredevil, which reveals the two in a secluded warehouse after a lengthy fight we’re assuming. Speaking of which, show runners Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are planning to make Matt Murdock into a darker character, which he’ll take a more lethal vigilante approach after some key events and confilicting situations occur.
Petrie went to say, “Taking lethal justice into your own hands in America in 2015 is tricky shit. We have not shied away from the rich complicated reality of Now. If you’ve got a gun and you’re not the police you’re going to incite strong feelings. We’re stirring the pot and we’re aware of the headlines where we live and we’re trying to get people to think.” While viewers await the imminent season 2 trailer, take a look at violent sexy mercenary you’ll soon fall in love with – outside of her costume.
