A Look at a Mark Farese’s $750,000 Sneaker Collection

Watch Mark Farese’s sit-down with FORBES!

If you’re a sneaker head, the name Mark “Mayor” Farese should ring a bell, but FORBES has decided to give him his own episode. Above, the Mayor takes us on a look through his 3,000-plus pairs of sneakers, which he paid $750,000 for over the years of collecting – but thinks that the accumulative value of his entire closet may be worth over $1 million. At times the interview, he re-iterates that he’s not a “sneaker head/collector” but feels like he’s a sneaker wearer.

After getting made fun of by kids when he was a child, he vowed never to get laughed at by anybody and decided whether it was mopping floors or even stealing money from his grandfather’s wallet.

Throughout the 4-minute clip, he goes through a few of his favorite shoes, including his Undefeated x Air Jordan IV pair, which is worth the most in his storage at $25 thousand.

The Nike Air Force 1 is still his favorite silhouette of all time, which the company even gave him an exclusive New York Yankees signature edition with all of the stitched in retired numbers.

Watch more on how Mayor’s hobby turned his life into a success.
