Prisoners speak briefly about Cali’s Death Row system
It’s very rare that we have public insight to the current conditions of San Quentin’s State Prison, but the Associated Press was granted a brief look into its Death Row system.
Currently, the facility houses 725 inmates, who are awaiting a decision on a vote whether to scrap the death penalty altogether or the continuing of a one-drug proposed execution.
One inmate went to even say that he’s only witnessed two carry outs of the penalty in his time there, which you can get more insight on the country’s largest death row system.
