Aaron Paul played a really mean joke on Breaking Bad fans recently, when he announced he would take part in a Jesse Pinkman spin-off, that in fact never existed. In the end, he was just joking and it was all done for laughs, but fans were left heartbroken everywhere.
Although you will never see Jesse resurrected unless it’s on an episode of Better Call Saul, Aaron will be starring in a HULU original series titled The Way. The show is described as a “controversial movement struggling with relationships, marriage and power.” Paul will play the role of Eddie Cleary, a husband and a father, who goes through a faith crisis and decides to join the movement.
The show was created by Parenthood‘s own Jessica Goldberg and will be executive-produced by Jason Katims, as well as produced by Aaron Paul himself. 10-episodes have been ordered thus far and it should be hitting the streaming service this winter.
