Aaron Sorkin is Stepping Up as Director
Aaron Sorkin is all set to make his directorial debut with an upcoming poker drama called Molly’s Game. The film is an adaptation of Molly Bloom’s memoir of the same name, which will be a collaboration with producers Mark Gordon and Amy Pascal.
In recent years, Sorkin has become one of the most sought-after names as a screenwriter, creator and executive producer, with success working on the likes of The Social Network, The Newsroom, Moneyball and Steve Jobs from the past five years.
Molly Bloom was a world class skier, who after a bit of misfortune missing out on the Olympic team, went into waitressing and managed to find herself at the top of high stakes poker.
