To start off the year 2016, the good folks at adidas basketball take some steps at branding 2015 rookie of the year Andrew Wiggins as a NBA superstar, gearing up to release a custom colorway pack of the newly unveiled Crazylight Boost 2.5 dedicated to him. 3-stripes decided to pay homage to the young Minnesota Timberwolves frontman’s journey to the top, giving us three special “AW” renditions of their new on-court silhouette.
The first colorway is deemed (red/gold ) “Marita” which pays respect to Andrew’s mother who sprinted and took home two silver medals for Canada in the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. The second colorway (black/blue) is deemed the “North Star” and draws inspiration from the “Twin Cities”, and we also get the “Home Away From Home” colorway (white/blue) which represents AW’s transition from Canada to the US.
All three colorways from the limited edition adidas Crazylight Boost 2.5 “Andrew Wiggins” Pack will be dropping sometime net month over at the adidas online shop and select sneaker retailers worldwide. Check out detailed images of the kicks above.
