Online TV streaming is heating up
In a move that probably competes more with Hulu and is one step ahead of Netflix, Amazon has added a few cable networks to their Prime membership subscription.
The streaming service now has the option of adding the likes of Showtime, Starz, Ring TV Boxing, A+E, AMC and more to their package for an extra fee, as part of their new Streaming Partners Program. Showtime and Starz will run you a solid $8.99 per month (just like on Hulu), with over 20 services being available on launch and more on the way soon.
The add-on service is now available on whatever platform you use Amazon Prime on or you can logon to the standalone apps for whatever service you added with your Amazon credentials.
