The story of the eighth wonder of the world is finally coming to the big screen, as Andre The Giant will soon has his own biopic. While it’s been over 23 years since the 7-foot-4 wrestling star has passed away, his legacy has always remained in-tact through the sports and entertainment world.
Last year, the international star had his official biography, Andre the Giant: Closer to Heaven, published. However, it’s now set to see a full-length film adaption, as the movie will follow Andre’s life in and out of wrestling, including the physical and emotional challenges he faced as a star.
His childhood in the Grenoble section of France will also be an intricate part of the motion picture, which his daughter will also be on hand to consult the project. Executive producer, Scott Steindorff, went to discuss the upcoming film saying, “Andre the Giant rode the wave of the rise of wrestling in America, while suffering from the painful health condition of gigantism.”
While Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment hasn’t been mentioned for likeness usage of his professional peers, we’re curious if they’ll have any helping hand in the giant.
