As a follow-up to Louis C.K.’s brilliant performance last week on Saturday Night Live, NBC enlisted actress-singer Anna Kendrick in her first ever hosting gig for the show. After introducing herself with the opening Beauty and the Beast monologue (playing the role of Belle), Anna charmed her way into the late night audiences minds with various sketches: Les Jeunes de Paris, Dongs All Over The World, Field Trip and Little Mermaid to showcase her vocal abilities on popular pop songs.
The episode’s musical guest Pharrell Williams would partake in a sketch to close the show, which featured Ms. Kendrick joining forces with Vanessa Bayer. In the midst of the two auditioning as a packaged deal with only one spot available to join Pharrell on tour, his ranger hat was butt of the joke, and he kept his composure through the hilarity with Kenan Thompson and Taran Killam.
