Apple recently bought out social-media analytics firm Topsy Labs Inc. worth a little over $200 million. With the lab specializing in global analyzing conversations on Twitter, Topsy.com is a real-time search engine for social posts and socially shared content; which is known for its extensive data of Twitter information. The Lab is capable for tracking what users are saying on Twitter in real time, but it can track how often words & terms are being tweeted.

The content can even look up your first ever tweet of any user on the social globe. Apple is known for buying small companies under radar, but we’re still wondering why the Topsy acquisition. “Apple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans.” said Apple to the Journal.

Speculations are in the air as to furthering their iTunes Radio that was in the recent iOS7 with Topsy as for marketing schemes; following the recent death of #TwitterMusic.

Looking into the future, this blueprint is set to surely not let Apple take any chances of failure with the new company in check.
