A$AP Ferg on VICE Autobiographies

“What I wanna do has never been done before, so how are you gonna tell me whether it’s right or wrong?,” is A$AP Ferg‘s opening line in his latest piece for VICE Autobiographies.

The majority of people know him as a rapper, but before everything started popping, he was designing t-shirts for other kids at school. Some of his favorite artists include Francis Bacon and Salvador Dalí, and his father even did the Bad Boy Records logo for Puff Daddy.

As well as his art, Ferg talks about growing up in Harlem with a stern, West Indian mother, and how A$AP Rocky persuaded him to start a rap career instead of just focusing on designing.
