Look for Assassin’s Creed to invade the big screen this holiday!
After becoming one of the biggest semi-annual third party releases in the video game industry, Assassin’s Creed finally transitions from its virtual elements to live-action later this year.
Last night, Jimmy Kimmel was granted an exclusive world premiere trailer from 20th Century Fox – as we finally get to the finished product of star Michael Fassbender assuming the dual role of Callum Lynch and Aguilar. Luckily, the title sticks to its signature parkour elements in Europe, so fans familiar with the decade-long franchise will be able adjust to its action-adventure setting.
With Kanye West’s single “I Am a God” setting the pace for the action-packed experience, we get a look at Fassbender transitioning from 15th century Spain and the present day, before his epic confrontation with the Templars. As Callum prepares for his insane leap of faith to take out enemies during the Spanish Inquisition, this surprisingly looks better than the last three entry’s in the series.
Also starring Marion Cotillard, Michael K. Williams, Ariane Labed, Jeremy Irons, and Brendan Gleeson – look for Assassin’s Creed in theaters this December 21st.
