The end is near
Before anything, we have to admit, we were super late on Banshee and only caught up to the four seasons on a binge this past year. We heard of the Cinemax show for a few years now, but never got around to checking it out. Are we disappointed we hopped on the train during the final season? Not too much, considering Season 3 seemed slumpish and wasn’t as lit as one and two.
In no way, shape or form did we think it was going to end this soon, though.
Banshee creator and executive producer Jonathan Tropper actually spoke on why he’s hanging up the jersey on the show not too long ago, saying he didn’t want to stretch out the sseries more than it needed to be. He rather go out while it’s on top and make something worthwhile with substance, then succumb to the terror of network normalities where shows continue way past their prime and die a slow death.
The teaser trailer Cimemax just released doesn’t say much for what’s about to come, but the questions still linger: Will we ever know Lucas Hood’s real name? How will him and Carrie end up? Will the reign of Kai Proctor finally come to an end?
Banshee‘s fourth and final season will premiere in 2016 with an eight episode run.
