When HBO inked Bill Simmons to the network after he left ESPN, there was a lot of talk about how he would fit with the cable channel, but things are starting to make a lot of sense now.
With his podcast network growing and his contribution to new show after Game of Thrones titled After The Thrones, Simmons has now revealed his own show on HBO. Any Given Wednesday will get a full season run of 20 episodes and will mix pop culture with sports as well as Bill’s commentary, much like his podcasts. He will invite guests to talk candidly with him and he’ll be dropping f-bomb’s at will.
“I’m excited about the show, I’m excited about the title and I’m really, really excited to drop my first F-bomb on TV. We are going to figure out nudity down the road, as long as it’s tasteful.”
Any Given Wednesday will premiere on June 22 (obviously a Wednesday) at 10pm on HBO.
