Contrary to popular belief, Black Bike Week on Memorial Day weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is pretty peaceful. People come from different parts of the country to show off their bikes and enjoy the sun, all while meeting with like-minded folks. It’s garnered a negative connotation because of certain instances, but for the most part, people head down to SC for a good time. You will find all female biker clubs, old and young folks, people of different walks of life and everything in between.
Like someone said in the documentary, it’s a meeting of fellowship, all brought together by their love for bikes and riding. Of course, you’ll see a little ratchetness creep out, but it’s all about maintaining the bike culture alive through generations.
In the documentary below, you can peep what went down at this year’s event, with first-hand commentary from those there who belong to their respective clubs.
