America fell in love with Bryan Cranston when he went from teacher to drug kingpin as Walter White in Breaking Bad. He is returning to the drug world in the upcoming movie The Infiltrator, but he’s on the other side of things, as a U.S. Customs official.
In the film, based on the an autobiography by Robert Mazur, Cranston goes undercover in 1986 Florida to bring down the infamous Pablo Escobar. With plenty of experience under the belt, Mazur is given the task of going after Escobar’s money-laundering organization with the help of run and gun partner John Leguizamo and a beautiful undercover wife. As we all know, he successfully took down the ring of dirty bankers, accountants and attorneys that protected the drug lords and their criminal enterprise worth billions, after five years of being inside the Medellín Cartel gaining valuable evidence of their money laundering practices.
The Brad Furman-directed film hits theaters nationwide on July 15.
