The Sheldon Cooper experiment is near!
While The Big Bang Theory has aired over 200 episodes through the last 10 years, show-runners, cast members nor its network have indicated that things are on the verge on ending. However, two years ago, actors(es) had issues regarding their episodic contracts, which took until late summer for terms to be agreed; delaying production to just weeks before its first episode of the year.
Well, now it looks like CBS could be ending the show in the next few years, as an official Big Bang Theory spin-off series is currently in the works. Co-creators and its show-runner will oversee the untitled project with Warner Bros. TV. According to Variety, the script is currently being developed, which will center on the life of Sheldon Cooper and his youth days of growing up in Texas.
Jim Parsons, who currently portrays Mr. Cooper, will likely move behind-the-scenes, when the show airs and his original ends before the decade’s end. At the moment, Parsons, along with Kaley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki, each make $1 million per episode, so keeping the franchise around at a lower cost is something all production parties would want, moving forward.
