Following its premiere, Chance blasts Spike Lee’s new film
Since its original trailer premiere last month, Spike Lee’s drama-film Chi-Raq has seen some criticism from people all throughout the Chicago area. From Lil Durk, Lil Bibby, Rhymefest and other notable names from the great city voicing their displeasure, Chance the Rapper took things a bit further – with a rare social media venting on the legendary film maker’s recent motion picture.
As one of the more recognizable natives of the town, Chano went to call out Spike for allegedly misrepresenting the city; and even though it’s a well-known for being an adaption of the Greek play Lysistrata, locals of Chicago aren’t trying to hear it. Take a look at Chance’s comments below and let us know what you think of Spike’s recently released project.

Also the idea that women abstaining from sex would stop murders is offensive and a slap in the face to any mother that lost a child here

You don't do any work with the children of Chicago, You don't live here, you've never watched someone die here. Don't tell me to be calm
— Chance The Rapper (@chancetherapper) December 4, 2015
Just clarifying, I'm not damning the director of the film or anyone involved in making it. I am damning the film and the ideas it conveys
