The legendary comedian-actor returns to host the OSCARS
Yesterday, initial reports surfaced that Chris Rock was in talks to return as host for the OSCARS next year. Well, the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has officially confirmed the legendary actor-comedian will return to the platform for the first time in over 10 years, as host for the event.
Neil Patrick Harris was host of the annual event, but CBS saw a significant drop in ratings for the telecast. Now with Rock set to hit the stage, it’s expected that the network is looking to revise its show at Dolby Theatre – with a host who isn’t afraid to put any of Hollywood’s elite on blast.
The 88th Academy Awards airs this February 28, 2016 on CBS.
