Chris Rock Talks Favorite NBA Players & Comedy Career on ESPN’s “First Take”

Top Five is in theaters now!

With Chris Rock‘s Top Five film enjoying moderate success after opening in theaters, he paid a visit to Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless on ESPN’s First Take early Tuesday morning to talk about a few topics and keep it more serious than past interviews we’ve seen from him.

Chris explained what the movie was about and who some of his favorite NBA players are (he named Shaq, Hakeem Olajuwon, and others), as well as what he think about people taking him seriously. To that last point, he said he’s a comedian, so it’s harder to achieve that than most, especially because all he does is entertain. His body of work stands on its own and is what should people should take him seriously for.

To wrap up the show, he also spoke on the NFL penalizing players about saying the N-word and his opinion on the subject.
