If you weren’t already aware, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue was revealed a few days ago. This was no ordinary issue, though. For the iconic 50th Anniversary, SI paired Chrissy Teigen, Nina Agdal & Lily Aldridge for the cover. The last time SI did this was for the 1994 “Dream Team” cover that saw Kathy Ireland, Elle MacPherson and Rachel Hunter grace the pages. As you can see by the cover, the trio is only wearing bikini bottoms, looking back at it, live from the Cook Islands.
One of the most interesting parts of the issue is how they revealed the cover to the three, barging into a live interview and surprising them with the news (below). Teigen, Agdal and Aldridge were absolutely shocked, tearing up and thinking it was a prank.
The 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue’s 50th anniversary edition impacts online and hits newsstands on February 18.
