We caught a bit of footage from Crashing when HBO was rolling out their 2017 promo video and it made us wonder what the hell this show was about. Considering GIRLS is heading into its final season, Judd Apatow has another series on deck and comedian Pete Holmes is at the center of it. Holmes is actually the writer of the show, which is a semi-autobiographical tale of a guy trying to jump-start his comedic career in New York City at small shows, all while crashing at other comedians’ couches because his wife was caught cheating.
Sounds interesting and like it may have some potential. You never know nowadays how these new shows will fare, but we trust the network enough to give it a chance.
Crashing premieres February 19, 2017 at 10:30pm EST on HBO.
