DirecTV Now’s Introductory $35, 100-Channel Plan Is Going Up in Price

It was all good just a month ago. DirecTV Now customers were pumped about the introductory offer that the company proposed to new customers. It was their “Go Big” plan of 100 channels, which was being touted for $35 dollars, not the regular $60 customers who didn’t take advantage of the deal would pay. Well, those savings are changing starting at the top of next year.

Starting on January 9th, the cut price will go back to regular and users will have to pay $60 for those channels.

The good news is that if you subscribe ahead of the expiration date, you can still pay $35 dollars for the plan. You know, until DirecTV decides that offer is too good for customers to have anymore. AT&T claims users will be locked into that price, but the length of how long is unknown.

It has been a rough start to DirecTV Now, which has suffered setbacks in the weeks after it launched. Customers have complained about the viewing experience, blackouts and bugs so far and there’s still a chance the price of the plans go up and/or the fact channels may disappear like they did on Playstation VUE.

AT&T is giving subscribers the chance to watch without it affecting their data cap, though. So, that’s good.
