At this point, there might be a chance you’ve heard of Facebook Home since it’s introduction last April. It’s FB’s way to completely take over your Android phone in a very immersive way, by integrating the social network into your phone’s lock and home screen, constantly showing you updates every second of the day. The app was first introduced through the HTC First phone, but the handset flopped and along with it, so did Facebook Home. Almost to the point that nobody is using it.

As you can see in the latest Home update, you can swipe to the right, automatically “Like” pictures and customize what filters through your feed by editing the settings, live from the lock screen. Not only that, but you can also connect Instagram, Tumblr, Flickr and other services to show up on the Home feed as well.

With Facebook popularity waning with each passing day, is Home the nail in the coffin? Although you may not be too active on FB, it’s clear people still check it. Maybe the fact that nobody understands the point of Home, is why people haven’t flocked to it. Who want’s FB to completely take over their phone anyway?
