Donald Glover is cashing in thanks to those two Golden Globes wins this past Sunday and FX wants to cement their partnership for the long run. The network has announced that the actor/singer/producer has signed a developmental deal with them, to continue their fruitful relationship.
This means that Glover will produce more new series for FX, including Atlanta, which unfortunately will be back in 2018 thanks to Donald’s schedule (he’s is set to appear in the new Hans Solo Star Wars movie as Lando Calrissian)
“Donald is a remarkable artist, effortlessly shifting from actor to writer, producer, director and musician to create one amazing project after another. We’re proud to partner with Donald in an overall deal that will allow him to continue turning his creative vision into incredible television.” – FX original programming president Nick Grad
