KENNY FUCKING POWERS IS BACK…..sort of!
Last November, HBO aired its final episode of its cult-following dirty comedy series Eastbound & Down. While fellow fans of the series like ourselves were left wondering where we find our Sunday comedy fix for the future, news finally surfaced today the man behind the character of Kenny Powers, Danny McBride will be starring in a an all new series entitled Vice Principals.
HBO revealed earlier, they picked the series up for 18 episodes, nearly a year after its first vague details at last year’s Television Critics Association. Danny’s previous series Eastbound & Down only consisted of 29 total episodes, as details regarding the 18 episode order haven’t been properly broken down.
This news also comes exactly a week following the cancellation of his executive produced animated comedy for FX, Chozen. His fellow E&D executives Jody Hill, David Gordon Green and Stephanie Laing will also be joining him for the new series if fans wanted more insurance to invest their precious time in the show.
Stay tuned for more details from HBO in the comings weeks regarding their new series that exposes the people who really run high schools, the Vice Principals.
