Our girl Emily still looking like a goddamn dime.
We’ve heard the story time and time again. Emily Ratajkowski came up through Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” video, grew up in Southern California, the “j” in her last name is silent, is pursuing a career in acting and so on and so forth.
One thing we’ve gotten a few hints of but not really too much information on, is her new movie with Ben Affleck Gone Girl. In her September spread with Vanity Fair, she shortly talks about how she felt about landing her dream role and what it was like working with Oscar-nominated director David Fincher. Of course, with behind-the-scenes footage of her photo shoot.
“I worked really well with David because I was ready to be a student and he is the best teacher. He wants to do a hundred takes and I want to do them for him. I didn’t want to act in high school because I was sick of auditioning for Nickelodeon, Disney mean girls, or the cheerleader. I came back to it when I had enough leverage to pick and choose. I got a dream role in a dream film.”
It should be noted that she doesn’t look as promiscuous as usual in these Ellen Von Unwerth shots at the Standard in New York City. She looks more mature, classy and all the way grown up. Maybe it’s her hair? Either way, we can appreciate it.
