READ THE HEADLINE: this is really happening!

Thursday afternoon, FOX Networks co-chairman Dana Walden confirmed the elephant in the room being whether there was an actual X-Men series in the works. While he didn’t confirm where FOX was in negations with Marvel, he did however say that his team is aggressively pursuing getting this deal completed rather sooner than later.

With X-Men: Apocalypse set to invade box offices May 27, 2016, FOX won’t be including any Marvel characters that are tied to ABC and Disney – majority owner the comic-book company. This also puts internal conflict at FOX, as they’ve had success last year with DC Comic’s GOTHAM series – direct rival of Marvel Entertainment. Take a look at the statement below regarding the much-anticipated live-action X-Men series.

“We’re in negotiations with Marvel,” Walden told reporters at the Television Critics Association summer press tour in Beverly Hills. “We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to announce something soon. It’s something we’re definitely pursuing.”
