Steve Carrell, like you’ve never seen him before.
We’re used to seeing Steve Carrell in comedies, but the upcoming film Foxcatcher will be different because he will be playing a paranoid schizophrenic. The biographical drama also stars Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo and it’s based on the autobiography of Olympic wrestling gold medalist Mark Schultz’s, which was written four months after his brother’s death. In 1996, John du Pont killed Mark’s brother, Dave Schultz, after showcasing erratic behavior prior. A motive was never found behind the murder, but du Pont was found guilty and sentenced to 13–30 years in prison.
The Bennett Miller-directed film is set to hit theaters on November 14, 2014.
