As reported in Dr. Jay’s blog, G-Unit Clothing is [temporarily] closed for business. This marks the end of a 50/50 venture between rapper 50 Cent and Marc Ecko, founder of Ecko Unlimited. Complex has some crazy photos of the offices getting packed up.
While reasons for the closing differ, all sides seem to agree, 50 Cent is walking away with the G-Unit Clothing brand.
Could this move further explain all the ThisIs50.com gear lately?

UPDATE via Complex:
Four years ago, Marc Ecko Enterprises (“MEE”) launched the G-UNIT clothing line as a joint venture with 50 Cent. MEE is proud of what it accomplished since inception of the brand, but a decision has been made to explore transitioning this brand to a different apparel company in the coming months. Consistent with current industry-wide practice, there has been a consolidation in staffing within MEE and its G-UNIT division. Having merged specific functions, MEE will continue to sell and distribute the G-UNIT line, support the brand, and service its customer base. This will enable a smooth and seamless transition of the clothing brand in the event 50 Cent finds a new partner. Additionally, within MEE’s celebrity-brand division, a number of new and exciting partnerships are currently under negotiation, and are expected to be announced in the coming months. These initiatives, among other exciting ventures within the organization, will fuel the continued growth and success of MEE.
