Get Your Daily Inspiration From Kid Cudi’s Ted Talk

We all know him as Kid Cudi, but the man known as Scott Mescudi is the one that stood in front of high school students for his special edition of Ted Talks.

During his 20 minute conversation, he talked to those in the audience about the long journey it took to make it in the music industry and dispelled misconceptions as to how it easy it was. He emphasized how much hard work it took to get to the level he wanted to achieve, through a lot of focus and determination.

He also recalls how he was in high school, with nothing in life figured out, but by the time he was 15 he realized he didn’t want to be a cartoonist. He wanted to rap.

Despite the people who doubted him for leaving Cleveland and telling him he’d never make it in New York, he kept pushing and made his dreams come true. Now he’s a handful of albums deep and still focused on creating, because that’s how he’s always been. Whether it was acting in college or drawing in elementary, he’s always been an artist in some sort of way. And nothing has changed for him even after gaining success.

To wrap it up, he encourages the youth to believe in their dreams and work hard, because it can all become a reality. Even after the curveballs, nobody is a failure. Everyone can win.
